Bible - Bible time is a favorite of the Kindergarten students!  Using the CSI Bible curriculum the students learn stories from both the Old and New Testaments. Stories include Creation, Noah, the Patriarchs, Moses and the Israelites. We also study Joshua, Judges, Kings of Israel, Prophets, and the Exile. We also study the true meaning of Christmas and Easter. Students enjoy learning memory verses and doing Bible projects.
Math - Beginning in Kindergarten, students use the enVision Math curriculum. Topics covered include Sorting, Classifying, Patterns, Position, and Location. We learn the numbers 0-10, larger numbers, fractions, and Ordinals. Students are taught how to compare numbers, add and subtract. Lastly, we study units in Geometry, Money, Time, Calendars, and Graphing. We use many hands-on activities and games along with paper and pencil work.
Science - Students use the CSI Science Curriculum and additional resources to learn about the following topics: Being Healthy, Living and Non-Living things, Materials, Transportation, and Our 5 Senses. Once a week, we have a STEM activity that ties in with a seasonal or topical unit.
Writing - We use Units of Study for Teaching Writing by Lucy Calkins.  Students are taught through a mini-lesson and then use workshop time to practice what they have learned. In addition, we often use “Story Starters” to write on topics related to other units being studied.
